Sexualidades Campesinas
LGBTQ Farm Worker Digital Stories Project
This project aims to collect stories told by sexually diverse (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer: LGBTQ) members of farm worker communities from rural California. These digital stories are part of an ongoing research project at the University of California at Davis and Santa Cruz in collaboration with the CalHumanities, UC California Studies Consortium and UC MEXUS.
What is digital storytelling?
This is a collaborative storytelling project that uses informal interviews and conversations to create a digital story. Digital Stories are a creative a combination of images, text, recorded audio narration, video clips and/or music.
Why participate in the Powerful Stories?
Digital Storytelling gives individuals and communities the opportunity to share knowledge and experiences with others. This collaborative project empowers storytellers to shape and tell the stories that will communicate their life experiences and personal concerns.
